COHO hosts a Health Fair Oct. 7

Next Satur­day October the 7th, the Coali­tion of His­panic Or­ga­ni­za­tions (COHO) will host the next Tulsa Health Fair, and is en­cour­ag­ing all the com­mu­nity to par­tic­i­pate in the event.


Jessica Lozano, part of the or­ga­ni­za­tion com­mit­tee, said that the fair is in its 8th year, and the lo­ca­tion is St. Thomas More church - 2720 S. 129th East Ave.

The event is free and open to the pub­lic from 9 am to 2 pm.

Free flu vac­cines will be given to those in need with the help of Wal­greens, and you will also be able to check your blood sugar, blood pres­sure, choles­terol, have a tooth checkup, ask for a preg­nancy test, have an ul­tra­sound and more. Men­tal health pro­fes­sion­als will be on site and even hair­dressers for the lit­tle kids. Don't miss the raf­fles and the fun games there for all the fam­ily.

OSU joins the event with a stand meant to of­fer in­for­ma­tion on ed­u­ca­tional op­por­tu­ni­ties for the His­panic com­mu­nity. Tulsa Tech, Morton, Go Life, Spring Den­tal, Com­mu­nity Health Con­nec­tion and NSU will also be present.
