TPS HOSTS STUDENT OPPORTUNITY FAIRS
Tulsa Public Schools last week announced a series of four new Student Opportunity Fairs that will take place starting this week in Tulsa.
The events are geared towards students from grades 8 through 12 and their parents, although younger kids are welcome too. Information will be provided about universities, college funding, continuing education, and all the benefits available to students in the city regardless of their ethnicity immigration status, or religion.
The first fair will take place Thursday January 25th at 6:00 pm at Tulsa Technology on North Peoria.
The second fair will be held on February 8th at 6:00 pm at Memorial High School. The third fair will be on February 22nd at 6:00 pm at East Central High School.
The last fair will be at Webster High School on March the 6th at 6:00 pm.
The fairs are meant to give students and parents professional information about the educational opportunities the state offers for high school graduates, encouraging those with less resources to keep on studying regardless of their economic situation.
Students can get information from FAFSA assistants, COX Connect will also be present, as will representatives from Tulsa Achieves and Oklahoma’s Promise. There will also be assistants explaining everything you need to know about Workforce Tulsa.
Don’t miss the fair and the educational opportunities offered to all TPS families. (La Semana)
