The Mexican Consulate is issuing birth certificates

-

ENGLISH

The Consul knows that there are a lot of Mexicans that immigrated to America when they were very young and for different reasons they were out of the Mexican registry, but all these people now have the chance to get their birth certificates and be recognized as Mexican citizens. In order to get the certificate the interested person needs to approach the mobile consulate before its next visit to Tulsa, without resorting to long trips and long waits.

Once you book an appointment with the consulate by telephone, you will need to present the birth certificates of the Mexican parents and bring the child along, and just like that the birth certificate will be issued.

For those kids born on American soil, children of Mexican parents, they can also get this nationality and become Mexican citizens. In order to do this you need to book an appointment and bring the American birth certificate of the child with ID and the birth certificate of the parents.

The 50 Mexican consulates in America are offering the same services, a result of the pressure of the community who finds itself frequently in the need of the certificates.

Remember that birth certificates are only issued by the mobile consulate that works here in Tulsa only on weekends, and not on the offices of the Consulate at St. Francis Xavier.

Quilantan added that a lot of people are trying to get the matricula consular, something that shows the interest of Mexicans to get a valid ID here in America; also the consulate has been receiving a lot of questions on the future elections that will be held next July. Quilantan reminded his Mexican countrymen that they can vote by getting their elector credentials at the consulate before the end of May. After that the voter will receive the ballot by e-mail and will have to send his vote by post back to the consulate for free. These votes will count on election day just like all others. (La Semana)
