Jenks announces its summer food program

Jenks Public Schools have announced this week through social networks that this summer it will be having a food program for children.

This program will provide free meals for students and their families during the months of the vacation period, which include the months of June and July.

The support provided for the students will be free, but the doors of the school cafeterias will also be open for adults who are relatives of the children. Adults must pay a minimum cost for each meal. The price for breakfast will be $3.00 and lunch is $4.00.

The program will be carried out thanks to the participat­ion of program members and volunteers.

For the month of June, meals will begin to be offered from the 11th to the 29th, from Monday to Friday. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 in the morning and lunch at 12:30 in the middle of the day.

In the month of July meals will be offered only from Monday to Thursday, starting from July 2nd and culminatin­g on July 26th. On July 4th the schools will be closed.

Those interested do not need to fill out any applicatio­n, just simply show up on the days mentioned above.

Parents of students from these schools have mentioned that this program will be of great benefit to many families. (La Semana)
