City Sur­plus Prop­erty Auc­tion Satur­day, May 19

TULSA, OK -- A 20-foot-high, 150-foot-long wa­ter slide from the old McClure Park pool, two pool ta­bles, three Fen­der gui­tars (one bass), a baby grand pi­ano and var­i­ous gold jew­elry items will be among the many items up for bids at the next City of Tulsa Sur­plus Prop­erty Auc­tion. The auc­tion will be held Satur­day, May 19, at the City of Tulsa sur­plus prop­erty fa­cil­ity, 108 N. Tren­ton Ave., be­gin­ning at 9:30 a.m.

Po­ten­tial bid­ders may pre­view the mer­chan­dise on Fri­day, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The City sur­plus prop­erty fa­cil­ity also will open at 7:30 a.m. on Satur­day, May 19, for view­ing mer­chan­dise be­fore the sale be­gins. (The wa­ter slide is still at McClure Park, 7440 E. 7th St., for those who would like to look at it be­fore the auc­tion.) The suc­cess­ful bid­der for the wa­ter slide will need to re­move the slide from its cur­rent lo­ca­tion at McClure Park by May 25. (McClure Park’s new pool is set to open on June 3.) Ev­ery­thing above the slab will be sold with the slide, in­clud­ing the hand rail­ing, steps and pvc pip­ing run­ning ver­ti­cally to the plat­form. As in pre­vi­ous auc­tions, there will be many sur­plus ve­hi­cles, lawn and mow­ing equip­ment, tools, build­ing ma­te­ri­als, elec­tron­ics, fur­ni­ture and of­fice equip­ment for sale. All sales are “as is.” It is the bid­der's re­spon­si­bil­ity to as­sess con­di­tion of mer­chan­dise.

Three auc­tion­eers may be sell­ing si­mul­ta­ne­ously, so bid­ders want­ing to bid on mul­ti­ple items should bring a part­ner/proxy. No one un­der age 16 may be ad­mit­ted at the City sur­plus prop­erty fa­cil­ity.

Cash, Master­cards and Visa cards are ac­cepted. Checks can be ac­cepted only if ac­com­pa­nied by a let­ter of guar­anty from the fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tion on which the check is drawn. Pay­ment is re­quired in full within one hour af­ter the auc­tion ends.

Sales are sub­ject to ap­pli­ca­ble lo­cal and state taxes un­less a sales tax per­mit is pro­vided with proof of reg­u­lar en­gage­ment in the re-sale busi­ness for items pur­chased. An Ok­la­homa Tax Com­mis­sion au­di­tor may be present.
