PSO Announces $50,000 grant to Tulsa Area COVID-19 response fund
TULSA, OK – On behalf of the
American Electric Power Foundation (AEP), Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) last week announced a $50,000 grant to the Tulsa Area COVID-19 Response Fund.
“We are grateful to be part of the Tulsa community and part of this extraordinary effort,” said Peggy Simmons, PSO president and chief operating officer. “In this time of uncertainty, it’s inspiring to see our community’s compassion toward those in need.”
The AEP Foundation is the charitable arm of American Electric Power, parent company of PSO.
Established by the Tulsa Community Foundation (TCF) and the Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW), the Tulsa Area COVID-19 Response Fund is dedicated to increasing resilience among the region’s most vulnerable individuals and families.
The fund will support local nonprofit agencies addressing the needs of those individuals who are experiencing COVID-19 related hardship, primarily due to temporary unemployment, lost income, or unexpected food or childcare expenses.
The fund will also rapidly deploy resources to trusted communitybased organizations working on the frontlines of the area’s COVID-19 response and that have expertise and relationships with families in need.
Online donations to the Fund can be made at https://tulsacf.org/covid19/.
Donations by check should be made payable to Tulsa Community Foundation and include “Tulsa Area Covid-19 Response Fund” in the memo of the check. Mail checks to:
