Domantas Sabonis to replace Kevin Durant in All-star Game
El alero Kevin Durant será baja con su equipo de los Brooklyn Nets hasta después del Partido de las Estrellas del próximo 7 de marzo al no recuperarse de una distensión en el tendón de la corva izquierda y no podrá ser el capitán del equipo de la Conferencia Este.
Durant, que se lesionó a principios de este mes, no ha podido jugar con los Nets y la NBA confirmó esta noche su baja para el Partido de las Estrellas.
Su puesto será ocupado por el ala-pívot lituano de los Indiana Pacers, Domantas Sabonis, mientras que el ala-pívot de los Boston Celtics, Jayson Tatum, será el jugador que ocupe el puesto de titular en la Conferencia Este.
Según un comunicado oficial de la NBA, Sabonis será reserva en el equipo y Tatum, ocupará el lugar de Durant en la alineación titular.
Sabonis, de 24 años, en lo que va de temporada 2020-21 tiene promedios de 21,5 puntos y 11,7 rebotes en 30 partidos.

Indiana Pacers forward Domantas Sabonis has been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant in the 2021 NBA All-star Game, which will be played on Sunday, March 7 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Sabonis has earned his second straight NBA All-star selection. He is averaging a career-high 21.5 points, 11.7 rebounds (fifth in the NBA) and a career-high 5.7 assists in 30 games this season. He joins NBA All-stars Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets and Julius Randle of the New York Knicks as the only players who are averaging at least 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. A fiveyear NBA veteran from Lithuania, Sabonis ranks second in the league in double-doubles with 24 and has recorded three triple-doubles.
According to the High Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC), judge Alejandra Gil has ordered the release of Bartomeu and Masferrer with charges as both are under investigation for malpractices under their administration and corruption in business.
The magistrate has also agreed to lift the secrecy concerning the case, which she had extended up to six times and in which FC Barcelona is not listed as an accused party, but as an affected party, legal sources confirmed to EFE.
Bartomeu and Masferrer, for whom the public prosecutor’s office did not seek precautionary measures, were transferred early morning to the Ciutat de la Justicia, where they faced legal proceedings.
They were arrested Monday by the police or the the Mossos d’esquadra, along with the director general of the club, Oscar Grau, and the head of the legal services, Roman Gomez-ponti. The authorities also searched the office of the club at Camp Nou.
All the four people apprehended used their right not to testify before police officers, but while Grau and Gomez-ponti were released, Bartomeu and Masferrer spent the night at the Les Corts police station.
The case, which was opened in May 2020, tries to clarify whether different companies hired by FC Barcelona allegedly carried out a socail media campaign to malign individuals and entities not allied to the board of directors under Bartomeu.
The investigation was based on a complaint by the group of members, Dignitat Blaugrana, and until Tuesday it came under the sixth extension of the summary secret, which would expire on Mar. 10.
The lifting of the secrecy of the proceedings also coincides with the debate of the candidates vying for the presidency of the club – Victor Font, Toni Freixa and Joan Laporta – ahead of the elections scheduled for Sunday.

Las últimas películas protagonizadas exclusivamente por Superman son Superman Returns y Man of Steel, de 2006 y 2013, cuando el estudio de Hollywood recuperó al personaje estrella de la serie de cintas estrenadas en los años 1980.
Cavill interpretó al superhéroe en Justice League y Batman vs Superman, que son filmes con un reparto coral que incluye a otras figuras del universo DC Cómics.
“Hay una nueva, poderosa y conmovedora historia de Superman que aún no se ha contado. No podríamos estar más emocionados de trabajar con el brillante Coates”, insistió J.J. Abrams en otro escrito.
El año pasado Abrams fichó por la franquicia de superhéroes para producir una serie de DC Cómics para HBO Max, emulando el éxito que Disney ha cosechado al estrenar ficciones televisivas derivadas de Marvel y Star Wars.
