Mayor Receives First Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine

-

Tulsa, OK – Last week Mayor G.T. Bynum received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“I’ve been looking forward to getting the vaccine for many months and wanted to be sure to get my shot when it was my turn,” Mayorg.t. Bynum said. “For all of us who hate what we’ve had to go through for the last year, this is our chance to stamp this virus out.”

Mayor Bynum registered for his vaccine through the Oklahoma Vaccine Portal. He received an email this week with a link to schedule his appointment as a part of Phase 3 of the state’s COVID-19 vaccine plan.

All Tulsa County residents can visit the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH)’S Oklahoma Vaccine Portal at vaccinate.oklahoma.gov. This online portal serves as a point of registration for Oklahomans who choose to receive the vaccine to determine their eligibility within each priority group and provide contact information to OSDH for updates and notifications when it is their turn to receive the vaccine. During the registration process, Oklahomans will be asked to enter basic contact information, including an email address, and complete a brief questionnaire regarding their medical history.

The decision to expand into additional priority groups is made by

OSDH for the entire state.
