Hamilton falls, Verstappen wins in Italy

The Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won the Emilia-romagna Grand Prix this Sunday, very convulsed since the start in the rain in Ímola (Italy), while the English Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) was second, in this second round of the Formula One World Championsh­ip.

Hamilton, who started from pole position, was overtaken at the first corner by Verstappen. The Briton, a seven-time world champion, then left the track in the middle of the race, before being able to climb to that second place.

The also British Lando Norris (Mclaren) was third, completing the podium, while the other Mercedes driver, the Finn Valtteri Bottas, had to leave due to an accident.

Hamilton is ahead of Verstappen in qualifying

Hamilton had won in the first race of the season ahead of Verstappen, then second, in Bahrain. In the general classifica­tion of the World Championsh­ip, the Mercedes driver is now one point ahead of the Red Bull, thanks to the fact that the Englishman obtained the extra point track.

Racing at home on this circuit Enzo and Dino Ferrari from Ímola, the Ferrari drivers, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc and the Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr., were fourth and fifth, respective­ly.
