PARÍS.-LOS líderes de Francia, Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido, Alemania e Italia, reafirmaron este lunes en una reunión telemática su voluntad de mantener la presión al presidente ruso, Vladímir Putin, para que ponga fin a la guerra en Ucrania.
En esa conversación, según indicó el Elíseo, hablaron sobre la situación humanitaria en la ciudad ucraniana de Mariúpol, que tacharon de «crítica», y sobre la urgencia de obtener el acceso sin trabas de la ayuda humanitaria.
«Reiteraron su exigencia de un alto el fuego inmediato y de una retirada de las tropas rusas y reafirmaron su determinación para aumentar su apoyo a Ucrania y para mantener las presiones sobre Rusia», señalaron las autoridades francesas.
El objetivo conjunto, según las mismas, es que Rusia acepte tanto el alto el fuego como el avance de las negociaciones en curso con Ucrania.
En la reunión a distancia participaron el presidente francés, Emmanuel Macron; los jefes de Gobierno de Alemania, Olaf Scholz; el Reino Unido, Boris Johnson, e Italia, Mario Draghi, y el mandatario estadounidense, Joe Biden, que esta semana inicia una gira por Europa que le llevará a Bruselas y a Polonia.

The joint objective, according to them, is for Russia to accept both the ceasefire and to move forward the ongoing negotiations with Ukraine. The remote meeting was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron; German Heads of Government Olaf Scholz; the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, and Italy, Mario Draghi, and US President Joe Biden, who this week is starting a European tour that will take him to Brussels and Poland.
