«La Comisión Disciplinaria de la FIFA ha iniciado un procedimiento contra la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino debido al posible incumplimiento de los artículos 11 (Conducta ofensiva y violaciones de los principios del juego limpio) y 12 (Conducta incorrecta de los jugadores y los oficiales) del Código Disciplinario de la FIFA, así como el art. 44 del Reglamento de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Qatar 2022 y el Reglamento de Marketing y Medios de Comunicación de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Qatar 2022 durante la final de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA que enfrentó a Argentina y Francia», explicó la FIFA en su página web.

La FIFA también señaló este viernes la apertura de expediente disciplinario contra la Federación Croata por «potenciales violaciones de los artículos 13 (discriminación) y 16 (orden y seguridad en los partidos) del Código Disciplinario de la FIFA», durante el partido por el tercer puesto del Mundial, ganado por 2-1 a Marruecos.
El comunicado de la FIFA tampoco detalla las actitudes concretas.
