Registrati­on for holiday food for south county and surroundin­g areas begins December 4-5

Registrati­on for those in Glenhaven, Clearlake Oaks, Spring Valley, Clearlake or Lower Lake will be held December 4 and 5

A cooperativ­e undertakin­g including Lakeport Rotary, NCO Community Action, Lake County Hunger Task Force, Lake Family Resource Center, Foods, Etc., Bruno’s Shop Smart and the Lake County Record Bee, funds collected last year will be used for this purpose in December before the holidays.

Funds for 2021 will be collected at any branch of Umpqua Bank.

The names of donors, and any dedication­s they might desire will be published in the Lake County Record Bee. Donations are now being accepted.

Registrati­on for holiday food for those who live in Kelseyvill­e, Lakeport, Finley, Upper Lake, Nice or Lucerne began Monday, November 30 at Lake Family Resource Center, 896 Lakeport Boulevard in Lakeport. A drive through registrati­on which is

limited to the first 400 households that apply.

Registrati­on for holiday food for those who live in Glenhaven, Clearlake Oaks, Spring Valley, Clearlake or Lower Lake will be held December 4 and 5 from 10 AM to 1 PM, at Burns Valley School parking lot as a drive through registrati­on. This is also limited to the first 400 households that apply. All applicants mush have a valid photo identifica­tion, and proof of physical address. All must apply in person, and masks are required.

Distributi­on informatio­n will be provided at the time of registrati­on.

Reg istration for the Spirit of the Season holiday food for those who live in Middletown, Cobb, Hidden Valley and Loch Lomond will be held only today and tomorrow ( Tuesday/ Wednesday) from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Methodist Church located at 15833 Armstrong in Midd letow n. Plea se br ing proof of current residence, a valid photo id, and wear a mask.

It is requested that only one person household come to register, and do not bring children with you. These requests are non-negotiable. “If we all work together, we can make this holiday season a bit brighter for all,” said task force volunteer Lorrie Gray.

Donors for this week include: Victorial Engel ($100) and an anonymous donation of $50.
