The beginning drives the end
Your Interior Design team knows the importance of a good beginning! Every Client is unique — even ‘ tho there are many similarities and recognizable patterns among them. That “unique” factor is a discovery process for the Interior design expert. That important discovery will drive their Interior design strategy for you.
There is a pivot-point factor in every Interior design. For instance, in a project where handicapped individuals will be the end users, the obvious key is to make sure all aspects are accessible, safe and user friendly in as many ways as are possible.
In Commercial environments, your Interior design team looks for the company “driver.” Profitability notwithstanding — how does that business owner wish to convey their Interior site message to their market? What do they believe will most effectively convey who they are, what they offer and why a customer should choose to do business with them?
Effective dynamics abound! Choosing the correct match for a Client’s Interior design marketing project is key!
Effective Interior design outreach dynamics are driven by numerous projection approaches. Does the Client like drama? Is the Client moved by awesome color and light interaction? Perhaps the Client prefers to reach out to their market share through direct social contact, i.e., hospitality events.
And so, the search engages through those everimportant initial, exploratory interviews and meetings. Until the key factors — the Interior design drivers of the prospective project — are clearly revealed to your Interior design team, the design, per se, for your Interior does not begin to translate into the vision appropriate to those key factors.
When they do, your team takes what is relevant and begins to transition into an Interior environmental translation that develops your preferences into your own unique outreach comfort zone.
Your end product Interior design must coincide with what you have chosen as the most effective Interior environment to successfully serve the achievement of your profitability end goals.
Residential Interior environments demand similar disciplines! Is the Interior residential environment an adults only dwelling, mindful of serenity and creativity? Or, is there an enthusiastic army of children, pets and intense, youth- driven activity? Perhaps, the space is for a solo resident with very specific ideas of what makes the perfect place to come home to, in which to conduct gourmet food gatherings or retreat into chosen music.
Your Interior designer must discover the key that drives the design at the very front end of your project planning process.
The “patient factor” for Medical/Dental Interior environments is as varied as one could imagine. Pediatric Interior environments must address distraction factors to counter and consider the reality of the presence of fears, anxiety, age, trepidation and curiosity. Medical/Dental Interior environments have special challenges for each of the many aspects of medical and dental practice.
Adult medical/dental Interior environments have very different considerations from Pediatric sites. Does the Client wish to project sophisticated professionalism? Or, perhaps, reflect a favored personal theme — such as Art, a Sport or Nature — some interest that is a reflection of the Client’s personality and camaraderie with their patient base. (For one Client, we fully displayed a beautiful, extensive hat collection!)
While your Interior design team’s persistent search — for details that will identify key factors — might seem like friendly nagging and pestering, they just need the facts!
The beginning discoveries will successfully drive the end Vision of your Interior Design installation! Let your professional team in on those personal, important clues — ASAP!
