Due to the limited number of ICU beds and rising numbers of COVID-19 hospitalizations, California has introduced a new regional stay-at-home order for regions where ICU capacity falls below 15%. Lake County has been placed in the Northern California Region which also includes Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties.

When the Northern California Region does hit the threshold, the order will be in effect within 24 hours and will remain for at least three weeks; it will be evaluated each week thereafter. When regional lockdowns are lifted, counties again will be categorized by the color-coded system. For a complete listing and additional guidance please see the State’s website at: https://www. gov.ca.gov/2020/12/03/california-health-officials-announce-a-regional-stay-athome-order-triggered-byicu-capacity/
