40 percent of county residents now vaccinated
County goal is 70 percent; 16+ now eligible for shots
LAKE COUNTY >> New cases of COVID-19 have continued to be quite low in Lake County, which allowed us to move into the less restrictive Orange Tier of the State’s “Blueprint for a Safer Economy” this week: http://www.lakecountyca. gov/Government/PressReleases/OrangeTier041321. htm
Vaccination Update: 60% of Lake County Residents Not Yet Protected by the Vaccine
Presently, about 40% of the county’s population is at least partially vaccinated. This means 60% are not vaccinated at all. Although we are definitely moving in the right direction, we must continue to protect one another by wearing masks and practicing appropriate hygiene and social distancing. Our goal is to reach a fully vaccinated threshold of 70% of the county population, and we currently have a VACCINE SURPLUS! Please get vaccinated!
