Penguins rally against Flyers

PHILADELPH­IA — Once again, the Pittsburgh Penguins showed their resilience.

Evgeni Malkin scored twice, including the tiebreaker in the third period, and Sidney Crosby also had two goals to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-4 comeback victory over the Philadelph­ia Flyers on Saturday.

Matt Cullen also scored for the Penguins, who scored three times in a 55-second span late in the first period while opening a four-game road trip with their fourth win in the last five. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 38 shots.

Pittsburgh came back from a twogoal deficit to win for the third time this season.

Canadiens 2, Maple Leafs 1 — At Montreal, Shea Weber scored a power-play goal in the third period and Montreal won its seventh straight. Alex Galchenyuk also scored for the Canadiens, who are the only NHL club without a regulation loss this season.

Wild 4, Stars 0 — At St. Paul, Minn., Devan Dubnyk stopped 29 shots for his third straight shutout and 22nd of his career as Minnesota improved to 6-2-1. Mikael Granlund, Nino Niederreit­er, Eric Staal and Tyler Graovac scored for the Wild.

Bruins 1, Red Wings 0 — At Detroit, Tuukka Rask made 23 saves for his 31st career shutout and Boston snapped a three-game losing streak. Tim Schaller scored for the Bruins, who also ended Detroit’s six-game winning streak.

Devils 3, Lightning 1 — At Newark, N.J., Adam Henrique and Damon Severson set each other up for first-period goals and New Jersey ended a five-game losing streak against Tampa Bay. Henrique’s goal was the 100th of his career.

Sabres 3, Panthers 0 — At Buffalo, N.Y., Anders Nilsson made 33 saves in his second NHL shutout and Buffalo snapped a four-game winless streak with its first home victory of the season.

Blues 1, Kings 0 — At St. Louis, Jake Allen stopped 27 shots for his first shutout of the season and 12th of his career, and Jaden Schwartz scored early in the third period for St. Louis. It was Schwartz’s first goal of the season.

Avalanche 3, Coyotes 2 — At Glendale, Ariz., Matt Duchene scored twice to help Colorado beat road-weary Arizona. Rene Bourque also scored for the Avalanche, who got 23 saves from backup goalie Calvin Pickard.

Sharks 4, Predators 1 — At San Jose, Calif., Joe Pavelski and Tommy Wingels scored 17 seconds apart and San Jose beat Nashville in a rematch of last season’s seven-game, second-round playoff series won by the Sharks.

Capitals 5, Canucks 2 — At Vancouver, British Columbia, Marcus Johansson scored twice for Washington and the Capitals ended a two-game losing streak.
