Cashman is ideal stadium site

-

Now that Las Vegas has an NFL team, we need to look at a stadium site that will benefit our entire community, as opposed to just the Strip.

I believe building the stadium at the current Cashman Field complex would offer the most benefit to the city at large. It would save on the cost due to the fact that the land is now owned by the LVCVA. All infrastructure is in place, which also is a big help. Parking would be easy with the use of the nearby Grant Sawyer State Office Building lot, which would be available on game days.

The stadium could be designed for football, baseball and soccer, making it possible for Major League Baseball spring training to come to Las Vegas.

Building the stadium downtown would also jumpstart development in the area, creating many jobs. Ken Freeman, Henderson
