EXERCISE FOR A CAUSE 27th Annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas

Thousands are expected to get off the couch and support Southern Nevadans living with or affected by HIV by participat­ing in the 27th Annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas.

Walkers can participat­e as an individual, start a team or join a team. More than 6,000 walkers strolled for the cause last year, raising $350,000. This year, organizers have set a goal of raising $450,000.

Penn & Teller will serve as the grand marshals of the event for the 16th straight year. Raise $250 and they’ll match anything you raise.

Founded in 1984, Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) is the oldest and largest AIDS service organizati­on in the state of Nevada. Over four thousand men, women and children infected with HIV are registered as clients with the agency.
