Clippers’ Griffin to miss rest of playoffs with injury to toe

Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin is out for the remainder of the playoffs after injuring his right big toe in Friday’s win over the Utah Jazz.

The team announced the five-time All-Star, who averaged 25.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the series’ first two games, was diagnosed with an injury to the plantar plate of his right big toe.

The Clippers lead the best-of-7 first-round series 2-1, with Game 4 on Sunday in Salt Lake City. Rockets: The NBA reportedly is investigating an incident between guard Patrick Beverley and an Oklahoma City fan that occurred Friday during and after the Thunder’s Game 3 win.
