■ No. 1 Alabama 41, Colorado
State 23 — At Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jalen Hurts was 12 of 17 passing for 248 yards, including touchdowns of 78 and 52 yards, and ran for 103 yards on 11 carries for the Crimson Tide (3-0). The Rams (2-2), who were outgained 216-11 in first-quarter yards of offense, scored two fourthquarter TDs.
■ Mississippi State 37, No. 12 Louisiana State 7 — At Starkville, Miss., Nick Fitzgerald threw two touchdown passes and ran for two scores, and Aeris Williams ran for 146 yards for the Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0) in their second win over the Tigers (2-1, 0-1) in 18 tries dating to 2000. LSU was penalized nine times for 112 yards.
■ No. 24 Florida 26, No. 23 Tennessee 20 — At Gainesville, Fla., Feleipe Franks heaved a 63-yard touchdown pass to Tyrie Cleveland as the clock expired to lift the Gators (1-1, 1-0) in a game featuring 37 fourth-quarter points. The Volunteers (2-1, 0-1) missed three field goals.
■ No. 13 Georgia 42, Samford 14 — At Athens, Ga., Nick Cubb ran for 131 yards and two touchdowns, and freshman Jake Fromm was 8 of 13 passing for 165 yards and three TDs in his first home start for Georgia (3-0). Devlin Hodges threw two TD passes for Samford (2-1), which had no first-quarter first downs.
■ Vanderbilt 14, No. 18 Kansas State 7 — At Nashville, Tenn., Kyle Shurmur scored on a 2-yard run with 8:23 left for the Commodores (3-0), who beat a ranked nonconference opponent for the first time since 1946. D.J. Reed had a fumble return for a touchdown negated by replay review and a punt return for a score wiped out by an illegal block for the Wildcats (2-1).
■ Kentucky 23, South Carolina 13— At Columbia, S.C., Benny Snell Jr. ran for 102 yards and two touchdowns for the Wildcats (3-0, 1-0) in their fourth straight win over the Gamecocks (2-1, 1-1). Deebo Samuel had a 68-yard TD catch on South Carolina’s first play from scrimmage and totaled 122 yards on five catches.
■ Texas A&M 45, LouisianaLafayette 21 — At College Station, Texas, Kellen Mond threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to fellow freshman Camron Buckley and had a 5-yard TD run in the third quarter for the Aggies (2-1), who scored 31 straight points. The Ragin’ Cajuns (1-2) led 21-14 at halftime.
■ No. 15 Auburn 24, Mercer
10— At Auburn, Ala., Kamryn Pettway ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns for the Tigers (2-1), who overcame five turnovers. The Bears (1-2), who trailed 10-3 at halftime and scored their lone touchdown in the fourth quarter, mustered 246 yards of offense.
■ Purdue 35, Missouri 3 —
At Columbia, Mo., David Blough passed for one touchdown and ran for another for the Boilermakers (2-1). The Tigers (1-2) committed penalties on four straight plays in the second quarter and trailed 28-3 at intermission.
