American League

■ Indians 11, Mariners 4 — At Seattle, Francisco Lindor led off the game with his 33rd home run, the most by a Cleveland middle infielder, and the Indians won for the 28th time in 30 games. Carlos Carrsco (17-6) moved into a three-way tie for the most wins in the AL.

■ Twins 10, Tigers 4 — At Detroit, Zack Granite hit his first major league home run, a three-run drive that capped an eight-run eighth inning for Minnesota in its third straight win. The Twins overcame a 3-1 seventh-inning deficit.

■ Astros 6, Angels 2 — At Houston, Evan Gattis hit a threerun homer to back a solid start by Charlie Morton (13-7) and Houston handed Los Angeles its season-worst sixth straight loss. The Astros won for the seventh time in eight games.

■ Royals 8, White Sox 2— At Chicago, Alex Gordon homered, Whit Merrifield drove in three runs and Danny Duffy (9-9) pitched into the seventh inning and Kansas City kept its slim playoff hopes alive.

■ Rays 9, Orioles 6 — At Baltimore, Lucas Duda hit a go-ahead, three-run homer to back Jake Odorizzi (10-8), and Tampa Bay eliminated Baltimore from postseason contention. Duda’s home run was his 30th this season.

■ Athletics 1, Rangers 0 — At Oakland, Calif., Khris Davis hit his 40th home run to become the first Oakland player to hit 40 home runs in consecutiv­e seasons since Jimmy Foxx (1932-34) and the Athletics won their seasonhigh sixth straight game.

National League

■ Brewers 4, Cubs 3, 10 innings — At Milwaukee, Travis Shaw hit a game-winning two-run homer with one out in the 10th inning off All-Star closer Wade Davis (4-2), lifting Milwaukee to within 4.5 games of NL Central-leading Chicago.

■ Pirates 11, Cardinals 6 —

At Pittsburgh, Lance Lynn (11-8) allowed eight runs in the first inning and St. Louis slipped up and lost its four-game winning streak. Lynn got two outs before being pulled after six hits and eight runs.

■ Braves 4, Phillies 2 — At Atlanta, pinch hitter Johan Camargo doubled in two runs in a three-run eighth inning, Rio Ruiz homered and Atlanta won its third straight. J.P. Crawford earned his 13th save in 16 chances.

■ Nationals 4, Mets 3, 10 innings — At New York, Daniel Murphy homered in the 10th inning and Washington’s bullpen followed Stephen Strasburg with five scoreless innings. Noah Syndergaar­d threw one scoreless inning for New York in his first action in the majors since April 30.

■ Padres 5, Rockies 0 —

At San Diego, Jhoulys Chacin (13-10) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and San Diego cut Colorado’s lead for the NL’s second wild card to one game over Milwaukee.

■ Giants 2, Dodgers 1 — At Los Angeles, Madison Bumgarner (4-9) snapped a personal four-game losing streak and Gorkys Hernandez had three hits and scored both runs in San Francisco’s win over Los Angeles.

■ Marlins 12, Diamondbac­ks 6— At Phoenix, Giancarlo Stanton extended his club record with his 57th home run and drove in four, lifting Miami past Arizona. The Diamondbac­ks could have clinched a playoff spot with a win.

Interleagu­e

■ Red Sox 5, Reds 0 — At Cincinnati, Mitch Moreland ended his long slump with a three-run homer, Eduardo Rodriguez (6-6) pitched threehit ball into the eighth inning and Boston won for the 13th time in 16 games.
