■ No. 1 Alabama 45, Tennessee
7— At Tuscaloosa, Ala., Bo Scarbrough ran for two touchdowns for the Crimson Tide (8-0, 5-0), who held a 604-108 edge in yards of offense while improving to 11-0 against the Volunteers (34, 0-4) under coach Nick Saban. With reserves manning Alabama’s offensive backfield in the second half, Tennessee ended a streak of five-plus quarters without a touchdown when linebacker Daniel Bituli returned an interception 97 yards.
■ No. 24 Louisiana State 40, Mississippi 24 — At Oxford, Miss., Derrius Guice ran for 276 yards and a touchdown to help the Tigers (6-2, 3-1) win for coach Ed Orgeron,
who guided the Rebels (3-4, 1-3) from 2005 to 2007. Shea Patterson, who came in leading the SEC with 2,143 yards passing, was 10 of 23 for 116 yards with no TDs and three interceptions for Ole Miss before exiting with a right knee injury in the second quarter.
■ No. 21 Auburn 52, Arkansas
20 — At Fayetteville, Ark., Kamryn Pettway ran for 90 yards and three touchdowns for the Tigers (6-2, 4-1), who amassed 345 yards rushing. Freshman Cole Kelley, making his second start in place of injured quarterback Austin Allen, threw for 138 yards for the Razorbacks (2-5, 0-4), who were outgained 629-334 in yards of offense.
■ Mississippi State 45,
Kentucky 7 — At Starkville, Miss., Nick Fitzgerald threw for 155 yards and a touchdown and ran for 115 yards and two scores for the Bulldogs (5-2, 2-2), becoming the sixth SEC quarterback to run for 2,000 yards. The Wildcats (5-2, 2-2) crossed midfield only three times and were outgained 441-260 in yards of offense.
■ Missouri 68, Idaho 21 — At Columbia, Mo., Drew Lock threw for 467 yards and six touchdowns, and J’Mon Moore had 11 catches for 174 yards and a score for the Tigers (25), who scored five first-quarter TDs and totaled 465 yards by halftime. The Vandals (2-5) were outgained 658-278 in yards of offense.
