19 Louisiana State 10 — At Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jalen Hurts passed for a touchdown and ran for a score for the Crimson Tide (9-0, 6-0) in their seventh straight win over the Tigers (6-3, 3-2). Darrel Williams scored LSU’s TD on a 2-yard run set up by his 54-yard scamper. Alabama was outgained 306-299 in yards of offense, and the Tigers had a nineminute edge in time of possession. ■ No. 2 Georgia 24, South Carolina 10 — At Athens, Ga., Jake Fromm threw two touchdown passes, and Nick Chubb ran for 102 yards for the Bulldogs (9-0, 6-0), who have won their first nine games for the first time since 1982. Jake Bentley threw for 227 yards with one touchdown and two intercepti­ons for the Gamecocks (63, 4-3), who had won three straight. ■ No. 16 Auburn 42, Texas A&M 27 — At College Station, Texas, Jarrett Stidham threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, and Kerryon Johnson ran for 145 yards and a score for the Tigers (72, 5-1), who led by eight at halftime. Kellen Mond was 5 of 11 passing for 16 yards for the Aggies (5-4, 3-3) before being benched in the second quarter. Nick Starkel took over and threw for 184 yards and two TDs. ■ No. 21 Mississipp­i State 34, Massachuse­tts 23 — At Starkville, Miss., Nick Fitzgerald ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs (7-2), who overcame a six-point halftime deficit. The Minutemen (2-7) had the ball in the fourth quarter with a chance for a go-ahead score but went three-andout. Deddrick Thomas returned the ensuing punt 83 yards for a TD. ■ Vanderbilt 31, Western Kentucky 17 — At Nashville, Tenn., Trent Sherfield had a 45yard touchdown run and a 4-yard TD catch, and Ralph Webb ran for 104 yards and a score for the

Tennessee lost starting quarterbac­k Jarrett Guarantano to injury three plays into the second quarter, prompting the debut of freshman Will McBride, who was 1 of 8 passing for 13 yards. ■ Arkansas 39, Coastal Carolina 38 — At Fayettevil­le, Ark., Cole Kelley scored on a 1-yard run with 1:55 left for the Razorbacks (45), who overcame a 13-point fourthquar­ter deficit. T.J. Hammonds had an 88-yard touchdown run and caught a 60-yard scoring pass for Arkansas. The Chanticlee­rs (1-8) lost quarterbac­k Tyler Keane to a first-half injury.
