Stamkos, Lightning strike in shootout

TAMPA, Fla. — Steven Stamkos had a power-play goal in regulation and the lone goal during the shootout, helping the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-4 on Saturday night.

Stamkos is 9 for 38 in the shootout over his career.

Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov and Yanni Gourde also scored for the Lightning. Columbus got goals from Seth Jones, Zach Werenski, Markus Hannikaine­n and Brandon Dubinsky.

■ Blackhawks 2, Wild 0 — At St. Paul, Minn., Artem Anisimov scored a power-play goal with 5:42 left in the third period, and Chicago won its second straight after three straight losses. Corey Crawford picked up his second consecutiv­e shutout.

■ Predators 4, Kings 3, OT — At Los Angeles, Viktor Arvidsson scored with 20 seconds left in overtime and Nashville snapped a two-game losing streak. Los Angeles scored three times in the third period to force overtime.

■ Canucks 4, Penguins 2 — At Vancouver, British Columbia, rookie Brock Boeser had three goals and an assist, helping Vancouver stop a two-game slide. It was Boeser’s first career hat trick.

■ Sharks 2, Ducks 1, SO — At San Jose, Calif., Joe Pavelski and Joonas Donskoi scored in the shootout and San Jose won its fourth straight. Joel Ward scored in regulation for the Sharks.

■ Coyotes 2, Hurricanes 1, SO — At Glendale, Ariz., rookie Clayton Keller scored in regulation and the shootout, helping Arizona win its second game of the season. Coyotes goalie Antti Raanta had 35 saves.

■ Capitals 3, Bruins 2

— At Boston, Tom Wilson posted his first two goals of the season, Alex Ovechkin also scored and Washington earned its 10th straight meeting with Boston.

■ Rangers 5, Panthers 4, OT — At Sunrise, Fla., Kevin Shattenkir­k scored twice, including the winner in overtime, to lift New York to its third straight win. Florida dropped its fourth consecutiv­e game.

■ Blues 6, Maple Leafs 4 — At St. Louis, Alex Pietrangel­o scored twice, Jaden Schwartz and Brayden Schenn each had three assists, and St. Louis improved to 6-1 at home.

■ Avalanche 5, Flyers 4, SO — At Philadelph­ia, Mikko Rantanen scored the winner in the shootout, and Colorado kicked off a lengthy road trip with its third straight victory.

■ Canadiens 5, Jets 4, OT — At Winnipeg, Manitoba, Max Pacioretty scored a power-play goal at 3:07 of overtime to help Montreal end Winnipeg’s three-game winning streak.

■ Stars 5, Sabres 1 — At Dallas, Tyler Seguin scored his fifth power-play goal of the season in Dallas’ fourgoal first period, and the Stars won for the third time in four games.
