State 24 — At Iowa City, Iowa, Nate Stanley threw for 226 yards and five touchdowns, two to tight end Noah Fant, for the Hawkeyes (6-3, 3-3), who beat their fourth top-five opponent in their past five tries at home. J.T. Barrett threw four intercepti­ons, three by cornerback Josh Jackson, for the Buckeyes (7-2, 5-1), who committed nine penalties and allowed their most points under coach Urban Meyer. ■ No. 4 Wisconsin 45, Indiana 17 — At Bloomingto­n, Ind., Jonathan Taylor ran for 183 yards and a touchdown, and fullback Alec Ingold scored three TDs on five touches for the Badgers (9-0, 6-0) in their 10th straight win and 10th in a row over the Hoosiers (3-6, 0-6). Richard Lagow threw for two TDs for Indiana, which led 10-0 and was within 24-17 with 4:12 left in the third quarter. ■ No. 24 Michigan State 27, No. 7 Penn State 24 — At East Lansing, Mich., redshirt freshman Matt Coghlin kicked a 34-yard field goal as time expired for the Spartans (7-2, 5-1) in a game delayed 3 1/2 hours by severe weather in the second quarter. Brian Lewerke threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns for Michigan State. Trace McSorley threw for 381 yards and three TDs with three intercepti­ons for the Nittany Lions (7-2, 4-2). ■ Northweste­rn 31, Nebraska 24, OT — At Lincoln, Neb., Clayton Thorson sneaked into the end zone on fourth-and-1 in overtime for the Wildcats (6-3, 4-2), who have had three straight games go to OT and won them all. The Cornhusker­s (4-5, 3-3) were thwarted on their possession in the extra session on a 10-yard sack by defensive tackle Samdup Miller and a pass breakup by safety Kyle Queiro. Justin Jackson ran for 154 yards and a TD for Northweste­rn. ■ Rutgers 31, Maryland 24 — At Piscataway, N.J., Gus Edwards ran for 109 yards and caught a go-ahead 23-yard touchdown pass with 7:30 left to rally the

— At West Lafayette, Ind., the Boilermake­rs (4-5, 2-3) registered nine tackles for loss, including five sacks, but lost starting quarterbac­k David Blaugh to a leg injury 2:33 into the fourth quarter. Purdue had 209 yards rushing while halting a three-game skid. The Illini (2-7, 0-6), who had won five straight over the Boilermake­rs, lost their seventh straight overall. ■ Michigan 33, Minnesota 10— At Ann Arbor, Mich., Karan Higdon ran for 200 yards, with touchdowns of 77 and 5 yards, and Chris Evans added 191 yards rushing, with scores of 60 and 67 yards, for the Wolverines (7-2, 4-2). The Golden Gophers (4-5, 1-5) were outgained 427-164 in yards of offense, with Michigan totaling 371 yards on the ground.
