STEVEN E MURPHY

-

He handled his death as he handled his life, with class, courage, and consideration for those he loved. Steven Eugene Murphy, 08/11/ 1941-10/30/2017 broke free from the pain and suffering and joined his mother (Vonnie), grandmother( Nealy) and sister( Georgie) who all preceded him in death, along with his beloved dog Barkley. He is survived by his love and ex wife Shirley Allen, his sister Paula Moore, and his nephews Steve, Doug, Shane, Nick and Nathan.

Steve worked for many years in the gaming industry as a bartender, 21 dealer and baccarat dealer. He excelled in all but found his calling when he re-opened the venerable Coachman's Inn with his forever friend Shirlee Helton. 'Murph' was an avid skier, snow and water, enjoyed playing golf with his buddies and never met a book he didn't read. His friends could easily fill a stadium and each would have remembrances of Murphy; of his wit, his loyalty and his kind and generous heart. An unforgettable and irreplaceable Las Vegas loss.
