Vehicle rolled into pole; driver fled, LV police say
Las Vegas police are investigating a Friday morning crash that caused a power outage in the central valley.
The crash at Sahara Avenue and Mojave Road was reported at 3:20 a.m. Metropolitan Police Lt. Greg Munson said a vehicle rolled over and crashed into a power pole, causing the outage.
According to NV Energy, more than 1,400 customers were without power for several hours, but the outage was fixed before 7 a.m.
It’s unclear whether anyone was injured in the single-vehicle crash because the driver ran from the scene.
