■ No. 5 Oklahoma 38, No. 8 Texas Christian 20 —

At Norman, Okla., Rodney Anderson ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes for 139 yards and two scores for the Sooners (9-1, 6-1), who won their fifth straight. Baker Mayfield threw for 333 yards and three TDs and ran for 50 yards for Oklahoma. The Horned Frogs (8-2, 5-2) entered the night ranked sixth nationally in scoring defense and total defense.

■ No. 12 Oklahoma State 49, No. 24 Iowa State 42 —

At Ames, Iowa, Mason Rudolph threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns, two in the final 5:55, to rally the Cowboys (8-2, 5-2), who iced the outcome on cornerback A.J. Green’s intercepti­on after the Cyclones (6-4, 4-3) had driven to the Oklahoma State 3 with 32 seconds left. Justice Hill ran for 134 yards and three TDs for the Cowboys. David Montgomery ran for 105 yards and three TDs for Iowa State.

■ No. 23 West Virginia 28, Kansas State 23 —

At Manhattan, Kan., Will Grier threw for 372 yards and four touchdowns, and Ka’Raun White had eight catches for 168 yards and two scores for the Mountainee­rs (7-3, 5-2), who overcame two fumbles and two intercepti­ons in the first half. Third-string quarterbac­k Skylar Thompson threw for 159 yards with two intercepti­ons in his first start for the Wildcats (5-5, 3-4).

■ Texas Tech 38, Baylor 24—

At Arlington, Texas, Keke Coutee had the Red Raiders’ first game-opening kickoff return for a touchdown since 1973, and Nic Shimonek completed his first 10 passes for the third time this season, finishing 24 of 29 for 246 yards and two touchdowns for Texas Tech (5-5, 2-5). Charlie Brewer threw for 417 yards and three TDs in his second start for the Bears (1-9, 1-6), and Denzel Mims had 12 catches for 152 yards and a score.

■ Texas 42, Kansas 27 —

At Austin, Texas, Shane Buechele threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Lorenzo Joe on the first play from scrimmage for the Longhorns (5-5, 4-3), who forced four first-half turnovers, including an intercepti­on that cornerback Antwuan Davis returned 16 yards for a score. Carter Stanley threw for 268 yards and three TDs for the Jayhawks (1-9, 0-7) but had three first-half turnovers.
