Eloisa Freeman, 88, passed away peacefully November 22, 2017. She was born June 25, 1929, to Jose and Angela Urtado, and was a lifetime resident of Las Vegas. Eloisa was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 68 years, Jerry; and three siblings. Eloisa is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Tom) Snyder; two grandsons, Darrin (Tara) and Derrick (Kim); and three great-grandchild­ren, Jayden, McKenna and Mason; her eldest brother, Alvaro Hurtado; and nieces and nephews. Eloisa was a member of “The Mexican Golden Girls.” Her passion was her entire family. She worked holidays for Kings Flowers. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 8, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Marianne Johnson, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the age of 86. She was born June 25, 1931, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Morris and Mary Jensen. After living in southern California for many years, she moved to Las Vegas in 1975, where she began her career with the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, managing the coffee shop. She moved on to the Mirage Hotel and Casino when it opened in 1989, managing both the coffee shop and the buffet. She worked at Wynn Las Vegas until she retired in 2008. She loved her work, her employees, coworkers, and customers, all of whom became like a second family to her. She was affectiona­tely known as “Mom” to so many and loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed travelling and spending time visiting with her friends and neighbors at Tapatio. She loved her family dearly. She was an amazing mom, mother-inlaw and grandma. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Jensen, Dick Jensen, Morris Jr. Jensen and Joe Jensen; and sisters, Evelyn Shuput, Eleanor Otos and Marge Sabaliausk­us. She is survived by her sister, Joanne McGlade; her sons, Erik Johnson of Tok, Alaska, Dale Johnson (Genie) of Las Vegas, and Chris Eierman (Sheryl); and her beloved grandsons, Scott and Eric of Las Vegas. Celebratio­n of life gathering will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, December 9, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
