Amber Noel CrawfordMa­tzenbacher passed away December 23, 2017, in Las Vegas, after a long illness. She was born November 4, 1963, in Reno, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Clemson Crawford. She is survived by her husband, Kelly Matzenbach­er; her mother, Judith Crawford; her sisters, Colette Meighan, Dulcie Crawford and Delilah Morganti; and several nieces and nephews. She was a life-long resident of Las Vegas and attended St. Viator’s Catholic School, where she was baptized and celebrated her first communion. Amber graduated from Bishop Gorman High School class of 1982, and the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1990 with a degree in Business and Marketing. She was an active and a top producing Real Estate Agent in Las Vegas for over 20 years. She was involved in numerous alumni activities for Bishop Gorman High School. Amber loved horses and spent most of her teenage years caring for her horses, Sugar Nose and Charade. She also volunteere­d much of her time rescuing and caring for hurt and neglected dogs and cats. There will be a prayer service at 11 a.m. Friday, December 29, at St. Viator’s Church, located at 2641 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas. Memorial service following shortly thereafter at the Bootlegger Restaurant, located at 7700 S. Las Vegas Blvd,, Las Vegas, NV 89123. There will also be a celebratio­n of Amber’s life at the Bootlegger Restaurant again 3:306:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 3. Please consider making donations on behalf of Amber Crawford-Matzenbach­er to an animal shelter and/or to organizati­ons that rescue abandoned or neglected horses.

Carolyn worked for the Clark County School District for 15 years in administra­tive positions at Burkholder Middle School, as well as Valley, Chaparral, & Silverado High Schools where she made many great friends and touched the lives of countless students.

She was an avid reader, loved to play canasta and other card games with her friends; but her greatest love and passion was her family. Spending summers in Ely, vacations at the beach, 4th of July with family and friends all brought her great joy.

In lieu of flowers or donations- spend time with those you love, be a little kinder to strangers and remember that it's not about having what you want but rather wanting what you have. Services are Private.
