Laura Draskovic, passed away March 6, 2018, in Las Vegas. She was born August 25, 1927, in Belgrade, Serbia. Laura emigrated after the war to England and then the U.S., settling in Las Vegas in the mid-1950’s. Laura worked at the Sands for many years as head of show reservatio­ns and eventually retired as box office manager at Bally’s. Laura was married to the late Lubi Draskovic, a.k.a. "Mr Sands." Laura was loved by her coworkers, friends and those with whom she tirelessly served at St. Paul’s Orthodox Church for many years. She was a friend to all and a blessing to those who knew her. Throughout her life with its many ups and downs, her faith sustained her. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Lubi; and son, Michael. She is survived by her son, Bobby Lubovich; granddaugh­ter, Laura Barnett; and the love of her life, her great-granddaugh­ter, Ashlee DeJesus. Visitation will be 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, with prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m.Tuesday, March 20, both at St Paul’s Orthodox Church, 5400 Annie Oakley. Burial following at Palm Memorial Park-Downtown, 1325 N. Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Orthodox Church. May her memory be eternal.
