Kenneth Eugene Harris passed away March 7, 2018, at the age of 82. He was born September 2, 1935, in Hazard, Kentucky, to John and Nellie Harris. Kenneth played football for Miami University, where he also earned his BS degree in Business with a major in Accounting. After graduating from college, Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country for two years. During that time, he was married to the love of his life, Sarah Gates. Kenneth attended Corinthian Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio, and was a member of Chancellor­s also in Dayton. He worked for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as an accountant for 34 years. After his retirement, Kenneth and Sarah relocated to Las Vegas, where he loved life and loved living in Las Vegas. Kenneth greatest attributes were being a great provider and supporter of his wife and daughter, and a great brother. Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife of 58 and one-half years, Dr. Sarah E. Harris; his loving daughter, Kim Yvette Harris of Dayton, Ohio; his three sisters, Christine Robinson and Colleen McDugle, both of Richmond, Indiana, and Dannis White (Charles) of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Memorial service in his honor will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, at Victory Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
