JAMES DORSEY

It is with great sadness that the family of James Robert “Jim” Dorsey, local land surveyor, of Reno, would like to inform you of his passing March 11, 2018, at his home, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born December 10, 1936, in Los Angeles, California. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife, of 61 years, Elsie; and his two sons, James Edward Dorsey (Kathleen) and Thomas Eugene Dorsey (Sue). Jim will also be fondly remembered by his three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Judy Woodson Taylor and Sue May Witczak. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2900 N. McCarran Blvd., Sparks, NV 89431. Burial following at the Cemetery of Our Mother of Sorrows, 2700 Virginia St., Reno, NV 89507.
