September 24, 1933-March 13, 2018 “God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, ‘Come to me.’" Evelyn Germaine Taylor, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away March 13, 2018. She was born September 24, 1933, in Naugatuck, Connecticu­t. Before moving to Las Vegas in 1989, Evelyn resided in Manchester, Connecticu­t for many years, where she was the owner of General Glass Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Taylor; parents, Joseph and Marguerite Longchamps; and her brothers, Ronald and L. Richard Longchamps. Evelyn is survived by her children, William Taylor, Susan Drummond (Terry) and John Taylor (Janet); brothers, Raymond and Paul Longchamps; and grandchild­ren, Joseph Taylor, David and Sean Drummond and Jennifer and Jaron Webb. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
