MARK HELLRUNG

Mark Raymond Hellrung, 64, a resident of the Henderson area since 2008, passed away March 23, 2018. His previous residency was Lana’i City, Hawaii. Mark was born August 19, 1953, in Houston, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1976 from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. Mark began his career with Westin Hotels and Resorts in 1974. Traversing the country, he held positions in Houston, San Francisco, Kauai, Chicago, and Boston. In 1993, he joined Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts at The Pierre Hotel in New York. Mark was quickly promoted to General Manager and managed properties in the Caribbean, Houston, Lana’i City, Hawaii, and since 2008, as General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas. Mark proudly just celebrated his 25th year with Four Seasons. Mark found his soulmate and partner for life when he married Loretta Santacroce in 2001. In their free time, they enjoyed traveling, hiking and spending time with friends and family. Mark is survived by his wife, of 17 years, Loretta Hellrung; his faithful Labradoodle companion, Teddy; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Katie Hellrung of Denver, Colorado; son, Charlie Valentine of Angel Fire, New Mexico; sisters, Cyndee Smith of Chappell Hill, Texas, Robin Garcia of Columbus, Texas, Christi Hellrung of Houston, Texas, Tracey Hellrung of Columbus, Texas, and Terri Pavlicek of Glidden, Texas. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson, NV 89052. Gathering and reception following from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p. m., with a celebration of life following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Committal service following at 3 p. m. at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
