MARGARET WYAK

-

Margaret Pidlypchak Wyak, 87, passed away peacefully February 12, 2018, at home, Las Vegas, being cared for by her children. She died as she lived, with grace and dignity in the face of difficulty. Marge’s proudest legacy is her children. She taught by example. A quiet, elegant woman with deep strength and a strong spiritual core, she valued kindness, respect and community. She created feasts from very little and all were welcome at her table. Having little, she gave generously, especially to children’s charities. She lived simply but made everything around her beautiful and shared it openly. Everyone loved Marge. Her profound legacy lives on in the lives of those who carry her gifts in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Pidlypchak; her siblings, Ilene Turock, Ray Pidlypchak and Millie Behanick; and granddaughter, Kristen Wyak Norris. She is survived by her children, Maria Wyak (Paul Ballestrasse), Anne Norris (Rich), Michelle Machen (David), Mary Johnson (Andy), Michael Wyak (Roxanne) and Maureen Wyak; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Marge was an advocate for organ donation. As it wasn’t possible for her to be an organ donor, she wanted to be a whole body anatomical donor. MedCure helped her achieve that dream and Marge is now helping young medical students advance science. She continued to give of herself in death. The family would like to express deep gratitude to Advanced Healthcare and Compassion Care, in Las Vegas for the excellent care she received. A memorial service will be held in Las Vegas at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Marge’s name to Spread the Word Nevada, a non-profit organization dedicated to children and books www.spreadthewordnevada.org
