■ Indians 5, Astros 4 — At Houston, Corey Kluber (7-2) struck out 10 over seven innings while breaking the Cleveland record with his 22nd straight start of allowing no more than three earned runs.

■ Rays 5, Angels 3 — At Anaheim, Calif., Daniel Robertson hit his first career grand slam, and Tampa Bay held on after Mike Trout’s two-run homer in the ninth to win its sixth straight and hand Los Angeles its fifth loss in a row.

■ Red Sox 6, Orioles 3 — At Boston, Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi hit consecutiv­e home runs in the fifth, and Benintendi added a two-run single and Rafael Devers a solo homer for Boston.

■ Yankees 8, Royals 3 — At Kansas City, Mo., Gary Sanchez hit two of New York’s five home runs, which included a three-run blast by Gleyber Torres and an inside-the-park shot by Aaron Hicks.

■ Mariners 7, Tigers 2 — At Seattle, James Paxton (3-1) pitched a three-hitter in his second complete game in three starts, striking out eight, and Jean Segura homered and totaled three RBIs.

■ White Sox 5, Rangers 3 — At Chicago, Jose Abreu went 3-for-3 with a home run to back Lucas Giolito (3-4), who allowed two earned runs over six innings to win his second straight start.

■ Athletics 5, Blue Jays 4 — At Toronto, Chad Pinder hit his first career grand slam in Oakland’s five-run eighth. Gio Urshela hit a two-run homer in Toronto’s four-run fifth.

National League

■ Reds 5-0, Cubs 4-10 — At Cincinnati, former University of Cincinnati star Ian Happ homered in each game and doubled and tripled for Chicago in its firstgame loss. Billy Hamilton drew a walk-off, bases-loaded walk in the 11th for the Reds in the opener.

■ Phillies 7, Cardinals 6 — At St. Louis, Odubel Herrera homered to extend his streak of reaching base to 45 straight games for Philadelph­ia, and Jorge Alfaro had a go-ahead pinch RBI single in the eighth.

■ Braves 8, Marlins 1 — At Atlanta, Ozzie Albies and Johan Camargo drove in two runs each to back Sean Newcomb (5-1), who allowed one run over six innings to win his fourth straight start.

■ Mets 5, Diamondbac­ks 4 — At New York, Devin Mesoraco hit a tying two-run homer through murky fog in the eighth for New York, and Wilmer Flores hit a walkoff sacrifice fly in the ninth.

■ Padres 6, Pirates 2 — At Pittsburgh, Clayton Richard (3-5) allowed two runs over 7 1/3 innings to outduel Sierra Vista product Nick Kingham (2-1), who allowed three runs over six innings.

■ Giants 9, Rockies 4 — At San Francisco, Brandon Crawford had a tworun double, a solo homer and an RBI single for San Francisco, raising his May batting average to .449 (31-for-69).
