■ Yankees 8, Orioles 5 — At Baltimore, Giancarlo Stanton and Miguel Andujar homered to help Masahiro Tanaka (7-2) win his fifth straight decision. Bishop Gorman product Joey Rickard hit one of three solo home runs for Baltimore, which lost its seventh in a row.

■ Red Sox 5, Astros 4 — At Houston, Andrew Benintendi and Christian Vazquez homered during Boston’s three-run seventh after former Cy Young Award winners Justin Verlander and David Price (6-4) each worked six innings.

■ Twins 7, Indians 1 — At Minneapoli­s, Eddie Rosario hit a two-run homer, and Brian Dozier had a triple, a double and two RBIs to back Lance Lynn (4-4), who overcame five walks over six innings in his third straight win.

■ Rangers 3, Angels 2 — At Anaheim, Calif., rookie Ronald Guzman hit a goahead RBI single in the 10th, with Rougned Odor diving around a tag by catcher Martin Maldonado. Mike Trout was a double shy of the cycle.

■ Tigers 7, Blue Jays 4 — At Detroit, John Hicks, who struck out in his first three at-bats, fouled off five pitches before hitting a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth for Detroit, which won its fourth straight.

■ Mariners 3, Rays 1 — At Seattle, Ryon Healy homered to back Marco Gonzales (6-3), who held Tampa Bay to one run over 6 2/3 innings, with his consecutiv­e scoreless innings streak ending at 24 1/3.

■ Royals 5, Athletics 4 — At Kansas City, Mo., Jorge Soler hit a tiebreakin­g home run on an 0-and-2 count in the eighth for Kansas City, which bounced back after blowing a four-run lead.

National League

■ Cardinals 3, Pirates 2 — At St. Louis, Kolten Wong led off the St. Louis ninth with a walk-off home run after rookie Austin Meadows had tied the score in the top of the inning with a homer off Bud Norris (2-1), who blew his first save in 12 chances.

■ Cubs 7, Mets 1 — At New York, Albert Almora Jr. hit a tiebreakin­g two-run double, and Javier Baez capped Chicago’s six-run burst in the 14th with a pinch home run as the Cubs overcame striking out 24 times — two shy of a record.

■ Dodgers 12, Rockies 4 — At Denver, Joc Pederson hit two solo home runs, a double and a single for Los Angeles, and Matt Kemp hit a two-run homer during the Dodgers’ eight-run seventh.

■ Giants 2, Phillies 0 — At San Francisco, Joe Panik went 2-for-4 with a triple and scored twice to back rookie Andrew Suarez (2-4), who allowed three hits and no walks over seven shutout innings.

■ Diamondbac­ks 6, Marlins 2 — At Phoenix, Paul Goldschmid­t and David Peralta homered to back Zack Greinke (44), who allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings while dealing Miami its fifth straight loss.

■ Padres 8, Reds 2 — At San Diego, rookie Eric Lauer (2-3) held Cincinnati to one run over five innings, drove in his first run and tied for the majors’ lead in pickoffs with his fifth.
