MARY DE FALCO

-

With deep sorrow and fond memories we announce the passing of Mary Theresa De Falco. Mary passed away June 8, 2018. Mary was born May 6, 1931, in Trenton, New Jersey. She was the 11th of 12 children. Mary moved to Las Vegas with her husband, Alfred De Falco, and their two sons in 1961. They had one more son here and made Las Vegas their permanent home. Besides being an excellent Mother and great friend, she also worked as a teller at Bank of Nevada, First Interstate Bank and finally Wells Fargo Bank, where she retired with 25 years of service in 1992. Mary was very popular at the bank and loved her job, thus she had many friends and acquaintances. She was so genuine, kind and loving to all she met and her unconditional love was a gift we all could feel. Mary never made excuses and always found the best in all situations. She will be dearly missed. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred De Falco, who passed away in 1986. Mary is survived by her sister, Nora Povia of Trenton, New Jersey; sons, Thomas De Falco (Claudia) of Reno, Fred De Falco and Robert De Falco (Stacie) of Las Vegas; and Fred’s son, Mary’s grandson, Michael De Falco (Tiffany) and their children, Mary’s great-grandchildren, Bob and Tommy De Falco, all of Boise, Idaho. Mary has many cousins, nieces and nephews as well. Mary is also survived by her companion and best friend, of 25 years, Dale Morrow, of Las Vegas. Mary and Dale spent their years together traveling in the RV and visiting many places and people across the country. They maintained this good life until her last day. The last three to four years were tough for Mary with all the small strokes and associated issues. Mary’s great attitude and courage never wavered and she remained fun and witty no matter what came her way. During this time, Mary would finally need assistance so to live her days out at home where she belonged. The De Falco family would like to offer a special acknowledgment and thank you to the "Team" that assisted her son, Robert, during the last three-plus years of Mary’s life. These special people are, companion, Dale Morrow, and two best friends, Sandy Moore and Sue Boyd. Without your selfless love, physical assistance and moral support, Mary could never have remained at home. The love in that house, due to all of you, was palpable and a true life lesson in love. We are forever grateful to you and for the love you have shown. You are forever in our hearts. Thank you. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. There will be a celebration of Mary’s life after the services at her residence in Los Prados. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to your favorite charity in Mary’s honor.
