Wanda Maurine Strong, age 84, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 15, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born April 29, 1934, to her late parents, Ernest and Ida May Coop, in Dallas, Texas. Jesus Christ was always in her heart. Wanda married Glen Strong April 4, 1951, in Winnemucca. She was an accomplish­ed nurse, business owner, golfer and member of many ladies’ clubs. Wanda loved to cook, bake, decorate, sew, play cards and enjoyed many hours of shopping. She had fun dancing and singing with her husband. Wanda’s best days were enjoying time with her big, big, big family that she dearly loved. She had the ability to see the good in all things and the willingnes­s to forgive. No matter where, no matter when she was there for her family or friends. She had a heart as big as Texas!!! Wanda is survived by her husband, of 67 years, Glen; baby brother, Richard Coop; children, Karrie and her husband, Jon, Cheryl and her husband, Raymond, Ernest and Mark; grandchild­ren, Richard, Rechelle, Corinne and her husband, Jim, Jammie, Abbigale, Mallory and her husband, Roy, Courtney, Ashley, Jessica, Christophe­r, Jakob and AJ.; and great-grandchild­ren, Haley, Christian, Shelbie, Katherine, Hannah, Michael, Lillie, Maddie, Lexi, Jordan, Sydnie, Felicity, Charlotte, Nadine and Harper. Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, July 23, with memorial service following, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Wanda was a loving mother, grandmothe­r and greatgrand­mother, true angel in our hearts. Forever missed...never forgotten... “Bless Your Heart Mom”
