LAS VEGAS 51s REPORT
Alonso forces home decisive run on walk
Peter Alonso’s basesloaded walk in the seventh inning was decisive as the visiting 51s beat the Reno Aces 5-4 in the Pacific Coast League on Saturday night at Greater Nevada Field.
Reno reliever Jared Miller walked the bases loaded before Joey Krehbiel came on to face Alonso. Krehbiel walked him on four pitches, forcing home Christian Colon and snapping a 4-4 tie
Starter P.J. Conlon gave up four runs — three earned — in 5 2/3 innings for the 51s (47-53), but this victory was one for the bullpen.
