It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Anthony “Tony” Palmisano announces his passing, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the age of 62. Born at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, May 22, 1956, Tony and his family traveled and lived all around the world while his father served as a Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. They eventually settled in Las Vegas, in 1972. Following in his father’s footsteps, he joined the Air Force in 1983 and served eight years as a Morse Systems Operator. After rising to the rank of Sergeant, Tony was honorably discharged in 1991. His decoration­s include Small Arms Expert Marksmansh­ip, National Service Defense, Overseas Long Tour, Longevity Service, Outstandin­g Unit and Good Conduct. Following his Air Force career, Tony worked in hotel hospitalit­y for 27 years. He was recently recognized for his heroic actions during the October 1 shooting at Mandalay Bay. While working at the hotel, he guided three guests to a secure area, ensuring their safety above his own. Tony was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Mae Palmisano. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Veronica and Stephanie; his brothers, Chuck and Steve, sister, Anna, and their spouses, Lana, Lori and Dale. Tony will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchild­ren, Connor, Ellie and Carson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and dear friends, including his closest friends, of 46 years, Joe and Sandy Roberts. Tony will forever be remembered by his friends and family for his never-ending quick wit, love of golf and coin collecting, as well as the ever-growing pride he felt for his daughters and grandchild­ren. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
