Dustin Johnson in tie for Canada lead

-

OAKVILLE, Ontario — Top-ranked Dustin Johnson used a fast start and a late eagle to grab a share of the lead Saturday in the RBC Canadian Open. Johnson shot a 7-under-par 65 at Glen Abbey to match Kevin Tway (68), Byeong Hun An (66) and Whee Kim (67) at 17-under 199.

Johnson birdied the first three holes, and five of the first six, and then rebounded from two back-nine bogeys with a birdie-birdie-eagle run. He’s seeking his third victory of the season and 19th on tour.

Tway, the second-round leader, is trying to win his first PGA Tour title in the event where father Bob Tway won the last of his tour titles 15 years ago.

■ At St. Andrews, Scotland, Miguel Angel Jimenez shot par-72 in blustery conditions to remain 9 under overall and two shots clear heading into the Senior British Open’s final round. Tied for second were Tom Pernice (71), Kirk Triplett (73), Bernhard Langer (73) and Stephen Ames (74).

■ At Hamburg, Germany, Richard McEvoy shot a 3-under 69 to match Bryson DeChambeau (70) with a one-stroke lead heading into the final round of the Porsche European Open. Masters champion Patrick Reed (69) is tied for third.

■ At Gullane, Scotland, Ariya Jutanugarn and Amy Yang each shot 2-over 73 in wind that gusted to 35 mph to share the lead in the Ladies Scottish Open at 8 under, one stroke better than Minjee Lee (71).
