Deborah Marie West passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in the early evening, at her home, in Las Vegas, surrounded by her loving family. Debbie is survived by her husband, of 30 years, Stephen West; her children, Jeffrey Lee Williams and Jennifer (Jon) Wilber; her grandchild­ren, Justin, Adriana, Aniha and Ariel; her great-grandchild­ren, Charlotte and Carter; her siblings, Danny and Greg Vaughn; three nephews; two nieces; an aunt; and several cousins. She was born May 18, 1955, to Dwayne and Enid Vaughn, in Merced, California. Debbie’s father was in the U.S. Air Force and the family was often relocated to different bases across the United States and Canada. In 1968, the family once again relocated to Germany. It was there, in 1973, Debbie met and married James Andrew Williams in Hof, Germany. Jim was also in the U.S. Air Force. Jim and Debbie were stationed at Wichita Falls, Texas, where their two children were born. In 1985, Jim transferre­d to Korea. Debbie and the children moved to Las Vegas to be closer to Debbie’s parents. In 1987, Jim and Debbie were divorced. Soon after the parting, Debbie met her new husband, Steve, and they were married April 27, 1988. Debbie and Steve built a life full of family, love and memories over the next 30 years. Deborah’s life long career was in accounting. She became a Notary Public in the State of Nevada for several years. After 18 years of working for Peccole Nevada Corporatio­n, she retired in 2015. Debbie was a happy, kind, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, daughter, sister, niece and friend. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by many. Celebratio­n of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 15, at First Baptist Church, 450 SE Fairview St., Prineville, OR 97754. A reception will follow at her daughter’s house, 1401 NE Boxcar Drive, Prineville OR 97754.
