JOSE SANCHEZ

-

Jose Sanchez, 83, passed away August 5, 2018. Jose was born in Rodarte, New Mexico, and grew up in Bingham Canyon, Utah. He attended Bingham High School and after graduation, joined the U.S. Air Force. Afterwards, he studied at the University of Utah and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. As a touching side note, when Jose started first grade he could not speak English, but when he graduated from high school, he was valedictorian of his class. As a member of I.A.T.S.E Local 720, he enjoyed doing the technical work on the big production shows on the Las Vegas Strip, when it did not interfere with his cross country motorcycle trips. Jose was an intelligent man with many interests including electronics, motorcycling, his two classic vehicles, old Western movies, animal and nature shows, photography, Spanish music, dancing Ranchera polka with his nieces at family events and spending time with loved ones. Jose was an important authority figure in the lives of many family members. We will love him through eternity. He was preceded in death by his father, Otoniel; mother, Eva; sister, Adrienne; and brothers, Tony Jr., Billy and Bobby. Jose is survived by his wife, Dorene; daughter, Tonya; granddaughter, Catrina; aunt, Emily; sisters, Tilly, Lea and Teddi; brothers, Nelson, Sal and Mike; and many nephews, nieces, greatnieces, great-nephews, in-laws, cousins, extended family and dear friends. No services are scheduled. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. ~Psalms 23
