Washington 16 — At Atlanta, Jatarvious Whitlow scored the decisive touchdown on a 10yard run on third-and-7 with 6:15 left for the Tigers (1-0). Jake Browning threw for 296 yards and a TD for the Huskies (0-1). Jarrett Stidham threw for 273 yards and a TD for Auburn. No. 24 Oregon 58, Bowling Green 24 — At Eugene, Ore., Justin Herbert was 10 of 21 passing for 281 yards and five touchdowns and ran for a score for the Ducks (1-0), who won their 14th straight home opener. Scott Miller had 166 yards receiving and two TDs for the Falcons (0-1), who led 10-0. Cincinnati 26, UCLA

17 — At Pasadena, Calif., Michael Warren II ran for 141 yards and three touchdowns for the Bearcats (1-0), who held the Bruins (0-1) to 306 yards of offense. Defensive tackle Cortez Broughton forced a fumble that led to a tiebreakin­g safety with 9:45 left. Freshman Kazmeir Allen had a 74-yard TD run and totaled 103 yards on the ground for UCLA. California 24, North Carolina 17 — At Berkeley, Calif., Patrick Laird ran for 95 yards and a touchdown and caught a TD pass for the Golden Bears (1-0), who had four intercepti­ons — two by cornerback Jaylinn Hawkins. Linebacker Cameron Goode returned an intercepti­on 38 yards for a Cal TD before exiting with a leg injury.

The Tar Heels (0-1) had one first-half first down and didn’t cross midfield until the third quarter.
