At Atlanta, freshman Trevor Lawrence threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns after entering early in the second quarter for the Tigers (4-0, 1-0) in place of ineffectiv­e Kelly Bryant. The Yellow Jackets (1-3, 0-2) fumbled eight times, completed three passes and ran for 146 yards.

No. 8 Notre Dame 56, Wake Forest 27 —

At Winston-Salem, N.C., Ian Book was 25 of 34 passing for 325 yards and two touchdowns and ran for three TDs for the Fighting Irish (4-0), who amassed 566 yards of offense. The Demon Deacons (2-2) haven’t beaten a top10 opponent since 1946.

No. 21 Miami 31, Florida Internatio­nal 17 —

At Miami Gardens, Fla., N’Kosi Perry came off the bench to throw for three touchdowns for the Hurricanes (3-1), who held the Panthers (22) to 31 yards on their first 10 possession­s. CJ Worton caught two fourth-quarter TD passes for FIU, which held a 17-0 scoring edge in the final period.

North Carolina 38, Pittsburgh 35—

At Chapel Hill, N.C., Antonio Williams ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns, and Nathan Elliott threw for 313 yards and two TDs for the Tar Heels (1-2, 1-0), who are 6-0 against the Panthers (2-2, 1-1) since 2013. Kenny Pickett threw for two Pitt scores and ran for another.

North Carolina Marshall 20 — State 37,

At Huntington, W.Va., Kelvin Harmon caught six passes for 150 yards, all in the first half, for the Wolfpack (3-0), who never trailed and surpassed 500 yards of offense for a second straight game. Linebacker Artis Johnson returned a fumble 22 yards for a TD for the Thundering Herd (2-1), cutting their deficit to 23-17. ■

At Charlottes­ville, Va., Bryce Perkins threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 78 yards and a score, twice hurdling defenders, for the Cavaliers (31,

1-0). The Cardinals (2-2, 0-1) managed 214 yards of offense.

Duke 55, North Carolina Central 13 —

At Durham, N.C., Quentin Harris passed for 202 yards and three touchdowns before leaving with a left leg injury for the Blue Devils (4-0), who amassed 628 yards of offense. Isaiah Totten ran for 88 yards and a TD for the Eagles (1-2) before leaving with a left shoulder injury.

At Syracuse, N.Y., Eric Dungey ran for 77 yards and three touchdowns and threw for 286 yards and two scores for the Orange, who are 4-0 for the first time since 1991. The Huskies (1-3) were outgained 636395 in yards of offense.

At Tallahasse­e, Fla., Deondre Francois threw for 352 yards and two touchdowns for the Seminoles (2-2), who forced the Huskies (1-3) to punt eight times and stopped them twice on fourth down.
