Howard Wesley Tindall, 83, passed away in Boulder City, September 21, 2018. He was born June 9, 1935 in Springfiel­d, Mo. to Lena Selsor and Finis Tindall. Howard married Jacqueline Campbell in Tulsa, Okla., October 6, 1953 shortly after enlisting in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, he and Jackie returned to Tulsa, where Howard joined the Tulsa Police Department as a motorcycle officer. In 1965, Howard and his family moved to Boulder City. He worked for the Boulder City Police Department for 22 years, serving as Chief shortly before retiring. Afterwards he owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store in Boulder City. He also was a tour guide at the Hoover Dam. He loved to golf, bowl, boat on Lake Mead, and ride motorcycle­s. He was a long-term member of the Boulder City Elks Lodge, serving in several key positions through the years, including Exalted Ruler. He frequently enjoyed sharing a meal and conversati­on with close friends. His membership in the Elks Lodge was a favorite avenue to help the citizens of the community, particular­ly when delivering the staples of a holiday meal to families in need. Howard is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Tindall; three daughters, Tracy, Terry (Dave) Lass, and Tammy (Kevin) Morris; six grandchild­ren; 14 great-grandchild­ren; and his fur baby Shih Tzu, Charmin. Funeral Services will be held at 11:20 a.m. Thursday October 4, 2018 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. There will be a celebratio­n of life at the Boulder City Elks Lodge immediatel­y following services. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please donate to a charitable cause.
