At Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jaylen Waddle had three catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns and returned a punt 63 yards for a score for the Crimson Tide (5-0), who have scored at least 45 points in five straight games for the first time. Tua Tagovailoa was 8 of 8 passing for 128 yards and two TDs, mostly in the first quarter. The Ragin’ Cajuns (1-3) trailed 21-0 after seven minutes and 49-0 at halftime.

No. 2 Georgia 38, Tennessee 12—

At Athens, Ga., D’Andre Swift and Justin Fields ran for two touchdowns apiece, and tight end Isaac Nauta returned a fumble 31 yards for a TD for the Bulldogs (5-0, 3-0), who led by only 12 points in the fourth quarter. The Volunteers (2-3, 0-2) totaled 209 yards of offense in their 11th straight league loss.

No. 5 Louisiana State 45, Mississipp­i 16 —

At Baton Rouge, La., Joe Burrow passed for 292 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 96 yards and a score for the Tigers (5-0, 2-0), who amassed 573 yards of offense. The Rebels (3-2, 0-2) committed 17 penalties for 167 yards.

No. 10 Auburn 24, Southern Mississipp­i 13 —

At Auburn, Ala., Jarrett Stidham threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns behind a shuffled offensive line for the Tigers (4-1), who withstood a lightning delay of nearly three hours. Jack Abraham threw for 215 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles (2-2), who mustered 45 yards rushing.

No. 17 Kentucky 24, South Carolina 10 —

At Lexington, Ky., Benny Snell Jr. ran for 99 yards and one of three consecutiv­e first-half touchdowns for the Wildcats (5-0, 3-0), who scored 10 points off four turnovers by the Gamecocks (2-2, 1-2) and continued their best SEC start since 1977. South Carolina was edged 327-321 in yards of offense.

Florida 13, No. 23 Mississipp­i State 6 —

At Starkville, Miss., wide receiver Kadarius Toney threw a go-ahead 20-yard touchdown pass to tight end Moral Stephens in the third quarter for the Gators (4-1, 2-1), who overcame a 6-3 halftime deficit. The Bullodgs (3-2, 0-2) have totaled one touchdown over their past two games.

At Arlington, Texas, freshman Jashaun Corbin had the first 100yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start a game for the Aggies

At Nashville, Tenn., Ke’Shawn Vaughn had a 78-yard touchdown run for the Volunteers (3-2), who held on when the Tigers (2-1) failed to convert a fourth down with 1:25 left. Tennessee State linebacker Christion Abercrombi­e was carted off and hospitaliz­ed with what the school termed a serious head injury that required surgery, adding he is in critical condition.
