No. 6 Oklahoma 66, Baylor 33 —

At Norman, Okla., Kyler Murray sat out the first series for the Sooners (5-0, 2-0) for an unspecifie­d reason and then threw for 432 yards and six touchdowns and ran for a score. Jalen Hurd had nine catches for 104 yards and a touchdown and ran for a score for the Bears (3-2, 1-1), who trailed 28-9 at halftime.

No. 12 West Virginia 42, No. 25 Texas Tech 34 —

At Lubbock, Texas, Will Grier threw for 370 yards and three touchdowns, and Marcus Sims had nine catches for 138 yards and a TD — all in the first half — for the Mountainee­rs (4-0, 2-0). Cornerback Keith Washington thwarted a fourthquar­ter rally by the Red Raiders (32, 1-1) by returning an intercepti­on 51 yards for a score. Texas Tech true freshman Alan Bowman, the nation’s top passer coming in, was injured in the first half and didn’t return.

No. 18 Texas 19, Kansas State 14 —

At Manhattan, Kan., D’Shawn Jamison returned a punt 90 yards for a touchdown for the Longhorns (4-1, 2-0), who had more yardage in penalties (80) than the Wildcats (2-3, 0-2) had on offense (64) in the first half and led 19-0 at intermissi­on. Backup quarterbac­k Skylar Thompson led K-State to two second-half TDs.

Texas Christian 17, Iowa State 14 —

At Fort Worth, Texas, Jonathan Song kicked a 28-yard field goal with 37 seconds left for the Horned Frogs (3-2, 1-1) three plays after TCU quarterbac­k Shawn Robinson was helped off with a shoulder injury. David Montgomery ran for 101 yards, including a tying touchdown with eight minutes left, for the Cyclones (1-3, 0-2).

Oklahoma State 48, Kansas 28—

At Lawrence, Kan., Taylor Cornelius passed for 312 yards and four touchdowns, and Justice Hill ran for 189 yards and a TD on 31 carries for the Cowboys (4-1, 1-1). Carter Stanley threw for 247 yards and three TDs, and Pooka Williams had 97 yards rushing and 60 receiving and scored for the Jayhawks (2-3, 0-2).
